It’s important to note that at high tide a majority of this beach will be inaccessible since the water goes up to the wall. Don’t worry though! I always have my proposers & engagement sessions start down the beach so no matter if it’s high or low tide you will a sandy beach to walk on.

When do you photograph Nantasket Beach engagement or proposal sessions?
Due to the popularity of this south shore beach (and that we lose a large section during high tide) sessions can only be booked during these days & times
Top tip: If you want the California vibe of the sun over the ocean (and so you don’t have to look into the sun for any ocean portraits) then you’ll want a sunrise or morning session
After Labor Day Weekend – April 30th (off season): Sessions can be booked 7 days a week during golden hour of sunrise or sunset
May-Labor Day Weekend (beach season): Due to the popularity of this south shore beach and the parking lots that can fill by 8am, proposal or engagement sessions on Nantasket Beach during this time frame can be booked 7 days a week but only from sunrise to 8am (the earliest start would be 5:15AM). The early mornings are 100% worth it and bonus the dreamy backlit photos over the ocean only occur at sunrise anyways!
