KIND WORDS

I was looking for someone to capture my surprise proposal in Boston and I am INCREDIBLY HAPPY with all of the work Meghan did for us and absolutely loved working with her.

Throughout the process she had everything planned out, helped with coordinating our families being there, scoped out the location ahead of time, created multiple videos to help me visualize what to do and just made it so easy for me so that I didn’t have anything to worry about. I had plenty on my mind leading up to it so that was a huge weight off my shoulders.

Both of our families raved about her afterwards and the photos turned out amazing. If I could I would rate my experience an 11/10. Seriously, book her before it’s too late!

"The quality of her work is in a league all its own"

Meghan did a fantastic job taking our engagement photos! She was involved from the very beginning, and assisted with the planning of the shoot months prior to the session. Her professionalism and enthusiasm glowed throughout the entire shoot, and the photos she took of my fiance and I are absolutely incredible! I would recommend Meghan for any special moment that you are looking to capture, she is one of the best and the quality of her work is in a league all its own. Thank you Meghan!

I recently proposed to my now fiancée back in February while we visited Boston. As I am not a native to Boston, I had no background on what locations would be best when proposing. However, once I found out about Meghan I began to speak to her about this decision. Meghan went above and beyond the call for a photographer. She not only took outstanding shots of the proposal, but she also helped with the planning. Meghan is an amazing professional and should be the only option for those who seek to capture their magical moments. During our shoot, Meghan made sure my fiancée and I felt comfortable, confident, and that we captured memorable shots. Once we were finished, she provided us with the finished product in an expedited manner and the shots were amazing!

A LOOK INTO MY PROCESS AS A PROPOSAL PHOTOGRAPHER

1. Picking a weekday to avoid crowds and photographing at sunrise or sunset for the best light

2. Giving you recommendations on the best of the best locations in Boston or the Cape (secret beaches & spots where the sun sets on the water- I know them all!)

3. If you want to hire a proposal planner or a floral setup I’ll connect with vendors and send you names of those 100% available for your date so you don’t have to

4. If it’s a new location or a popular spot most of the time I send my proposers videos so they know their exact walking route to our proposal spot

5. Aside from the videos in tricky locations I’ll also send maps with an exact X on their proposal spot

6. If you are having family or friends hide out- I’ll coordinate everything with them as well!

7. I also give outfit suggestions & colors based on your location!

8. I’m in the proposal location 30 minutes before you arrive. It is common for people to arrive early and I’m already in place ready to go!

9. If it’s raining, I bring along cute umbrellas to keep you dry.

10. Aside from making sure you’ve talked about getting engaged before hiring me, I also give recs on locations couples have gone to after to celebrate!

PROPOSAL SESSION FAQS

• WE'VE LOOKED OVER YOUR GALLERIES & WANT TO BOOK YOU! HOW DO WE SECURE OUR DATE?

1. Fill out the contact form 2. We will chat and decide the shoot location, date, and time 3. You'll sign the contract 4. You pay the retainer (50% of your session price) to secure your date 5. Your second payment is due on shoot day and we have an incredible proposal session! 6. You get sneak peeks within 48 hours. 7. Your full gallery is delivered within 2 weeks of your session date!

• WHAT DAY CAN I BOOK YOU FOR A PROPOSAL?

I primarily book proposals on weekdays Monday-Thursday during golden hour (within two hours after sunrise or within two hours of sunset). Friday, Saturday, and Sunday I'm photographing traditional weddings especially during my busy season May-November. That being said though if you reach out and I don't have a wedding scheduled on the date you inquire about then we can absolutely shoot on the weekend at sunrise or sunset! In the off season (December-April) weekend couples shoots are totally fine!

• WHAT TIME WILL OUR PROPOSAL TAKE PLACE?

It get the most dreamy and flattering golden light, I photograph proposals during golden hour (within two hours after sunrise or within two hours of sunset).

• I BOOKED YOU BUT, WHAT IF THE FORECAST IS FOR RAIN ON MY PROPOSAL DAY?

New England weather always changes so I start paying attention to the forecast 48 hours before a session. If it's showing rain we have a couple options!

1. If it was showing a total washout and you could be flexible with your date we could change the date- no rescheduling fee!

2. If it was showing some rain scheduled during our set proposal time we could move it earlier or later in the day to catch a window where it wasn't raining.

3. Lastly if you still wanted that exact date and time we could just embrace the rain. Rainy sessions can be super fun & romantic- I bring along my cute clear umbrellas for you to stay dry!

• I WANT YOU TO PHOTOGRAPH MY PROPOSAL BUT ITS OUTSIDE THE 2 HOUR RADIUS OF BOSTON- CAN YOU DO IT?

Of course! There are so many incredible proposal locations that are farther outside the 2 hour radius from where I live in Boston. You can fill out my contact form and let me know where you'd like to propose and I'll let you know what the added travel fee would be.

• WHAT IF THERE ARE PEOPLE BEHIND ME AKA PHOTOBOMBERS WHEN I PROPOSE?

I want you to have the most private & enjoyable experience possible for your proposal! We avoid crowds and having an audience by photographing at sunrise or sunset during the weekdays, but sometimes life happens.

Since I arrive early to the proposal location, most times I am able to clear the area if there are others around and they are happy to move knowing a proposal will soon be taking place. When it's game time and I know you are on your way, I have less control in those last few minutes.

If you drop to your knee and there happens to be people walking behind you or in my proposal photo- never fear it's photoshop to the rescue :) I'm a photoshop wiz and I will make any photo bombers disappear!

Other complimentary retouching elements include:
- Taming flyaway hairs
- Getting rid of any acne
- Making rings pop & sparkle!
- Removing any distractions

I would love to be your proposal photographer!
