Hey there! My name is Meghan Lynch and I’d love to be your Boston elopement photographer. I specialize in couples photography edited in vibrant true to life colors to give you that timeless look.

I was the lucky Boston elopement photographer that got to capture Harry & Claire’s Boston City Hall elopement in March. During their three hour elopement collection with me, these two exchanged vows in Room 601 of Boston City Hall and then continued the fun with portraits in Beacon Hill and the Boston Public Garden. Later in the evening they celebrated with friends back at their place with catering from Barcelona Wine Bar.

  • 11 years as a Boston wedding & elopement photographer (work is published in a variety of magazines). You can read all the 50+ raving reviews on google!
  • Editing style: Vibrant/ True to life. Years down the line I want you to remember your wedding day as it was when you look at your photos rather than a trend.
  • Photography style: Classic & timeless imagery- natural posing, candids, and an editorial flare when capturing your details. I’ll give you prompts to have your natural personalities come out and make you & your guests feel super comfortable in front of the camera.
  • I only take a select 10-15 weddings a year and never shoot back to back so my couples always get me at my absolute best
  • Local vendor recommendations and happy to reach out in vendor groups if you are having trouble tracking someone down
  • Complimentary retouching of distractions (I don’t do body modifications): exit signs, trash cans, people in the background of a photo, zits, sunburns/apple watch tans. I want the focus to be on YOU
  • Rainy day? I’ll bring my clear umbrellas for you
  • Sentimental details you want photographed? I bring along my styling mat & accessories
  • Sneak peeks are back within 2 days. Wedding galleries back within 8-10 weeks. Anyone you share the gallery link with can have access to the photos so they can download any of them as well. No watermarks ever.
  • Prints and albums available a la carte.
  • Continuing Education: Every year I’m always taking a course or booking a private lesson to continue to give my couples the best images possible

About the Boston elopement couple

Harry and Claire knew each other when they were little, but didn’t start dating until high school (they feel their anthem is Katy Perry’s “Teenage Dream”). They were long distance in college each taking the 2 hour bus ride to visit each of their Massachusetts universities. Today these two enjoy getting coffee at Tatte Bakery and shopping on Newbury Street. I was lucky enough to not only photograph their intimate wedding, but also their proposal on February 16th, 2023.

BOSTON ELOPEMENT PACKAGES

For Boston elopements, I offer 2 hour, 4 hour, 8 hour collections (as well as custom collections). You can see starting rates for my Boston elopement packages here. Two hours is perfect for those looking for ceremony coverage at Boston City Hall, outdoors, or a wedding venue and 1 location for portraits.

WHEN DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH BOSTON ELOPEMENTS?

I photograph Boston elopements Monday-Thursday and I offer 2 hour, 4 hour, and 8 hour collections. In my off season, I may have Friday-Sunday availability.

DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH LGBTQIA+ ELOPEMENTS?

You bet! I’m an inclusive wedding vendor. All are welcome.

HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL WE RECEIVE?

I believe in quality over quantity so you can expect on average a minimum of 50 images per hour.

HOW DO YOU DESCRIBE YOUR EDITING STYLE?

To give your images that timeless look, my editing style is vibrant & true to color. By not following a trend, your images will have that classic look with a mix of some black & white photos in your gallery.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR US TO RECEIVE OUR BOSTON ELOPEMENT IMAGES?

You’ll receive your images within 8-10 weeks max, but you’ll get some sneak peeks within 48 hours. I take time editing each individual photo with my vibrant/true to life editing style. I also include complimentary photoshop retouching of your images for magazine worthy photos! This includes things such as removing zits, flyaway hairs, apple watch tan lines, trash, and photobombers in the background of your photos.

DO YOU OFFER PRINTS OR HEIRLOOM ALBUMS?

Yes! The link to your online gallery connects to a professional printing lab so you can order prints, framed wall art, and canvases through me if you are looking to decorate your homes with memories of your wedding day. Heirloom albums provide the perfect keepsake to stand the test of time. My talented album designer Meg will take over with communication and guide you through the entire process from start to finish.

THINGS TO DO DURING YOUR BOSTON ELOPEMENT

  • Start the day by going to your favorite coffee shop like Tatte or Pavement Coffeehouse
  • Visit a museum after your ceremony (ICA, MFA, Isabella Stewart) or the Boston Aquarium
  • Go on a whale watch with Boston Harbor Cruises
  • Read letters from family members or friends who weren’t able to come
  • Treat yourself to fresh seafood or North End’s famous Italian food
  • Book a sunset cruise or private yacht with Charles River Boat or a boat ride with Boston Harbor Cruise
  • Visit a Boston market like SoWa, Bow Market, or Boston Public Market
  • Go to a comedy show at Improv Asylum or Laugh Boston
  • Tour Fenway or go to a Red Sox game
  • Take a food tour with Bites of Boston
  • Go to a theatre show (we have Broadway tours that come to the Citizens Bank Opera House) or catch some live music
  • Get married in Boston in the morning, grab some chocolate covered strawberries to go, and take the Amtrak to NYC for a weekend getaway (one of my couples actually did this)

BEST TIME OF YEAR TO ELOPE IN BOSTON

SUMMER ELOPEMENTS: JUNE-AUGUST

Summer has arrived in the city! Flowers have bloomed, the trees are vibrant green, and you can watch the sailboats pass by. These are the warmest months in the Boston area and also the busiest due to tourists.

FALL ELOPEMENTS: SEPTEMBER- NOVEMBER

New England is famous for its vibrant fall foliage. Picture vibrant colors in the Public Garden and pumpkins lining the cobblestones in Beacon Hill. In years past Massachusetts peak foliage has been from Sept. 30th- mid October. These are the most popular wedding dates so reach out asap if you are considering a fall Boston elopement.

WINTER ELOPEMENTS: DECEMBER-MARCH

Boston winter elopements are prettiest when there is snow on the ground. Otherwise I don’t recommend winter elopements in the Boston Common, Public Garden, Comm Ave, or the Arnold Arboretum since the trees are bare. This time of year, if there isn’t any snow, I recommend spots showcasing the city skyline like Fan Pier Park, LoPresti, and Piers Park.

SPRING ELOPEMENTS: APRIL-MAY

Beacon Hill, the Charles River Esplanade, and Arnold Arboretum explode with cherry blossoms late April to early May. Then lilacs bloom in the Arnold Arboretum in early May. The weather starts to warm, but there is a greater chance for rain.

WHAT IF THERE IS BAD WEATHER ON MY BOSTON ELOPEMENT DAY?

I don’t believe in bad weather only bad gear! Growing up in New England I have photographed in all weather conditions from snowy days in Boston to rainy days. In my opinion rainy days can create some of the most romantic photos (I also bring along clear umbrellas for you too!). The couples I love working with are ready to have a dance party in the rain and embrace the weather no matter what!

That being said, if there is a window of time on your wedding day that isn’t rainy and all vendors are able to move our scheduled time (venue/city hall, photographer, officiant if applicable, hair & makeup, florist delivery) then we can pivot to an earlier or later time in the day to have clear skies.

BOOK ME AS YOUR BOSTON ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER

I photograph elopements (max of 20 people) Monday-Thursday.

With indoor elopements, ceremony photo coverage can be booked anytime. If you are having a Boston elopement outdoors, I book wedding ceremony coverage during golden hour after sunrise or before sunset.

Top tip: If you want to have as close to a “just us” private experience as possible with no crowds or tourists taking cell-phone pics, sunrise ceremonies are super peaceful and make you feel like you have Boston all to yourself!

You can reach out through my contact form to see if I’m available for your date!
