I’m a super bubbly Vermont elopement photographer serving couples all over New England who love true to color & vibrant editing. Vermont is a perfect place for a New England elopement! It’s got beautiful mountains, waterfalls, lakes, beaches, and covered bridges.
I want you to have the most incredible experience and photos that tell the true love story of your day that you can cherish in years to come. I want you to feel safe & comfortable in your own skin with a wedding day that is uniquely you. A celebration with just the two of you exchanging vows in a breathtaking spot or surrounded by your family- whether that’s biological, chosen family of friends, or beloved pets.
I’ve photographed 100+ weddings (big & small) in the USA & Europe so I’m an expert in posing, lighting (both natural light and flash for indoor spaces), and there is no scenario I haven’t been in. I am able to give couples peace of mind that no matter how the day unfolds, locations, the weather, etc. they are going to get gorgeous images.
I’m a huge outdoor enthusiast and there probably isn’t a wilderness sport I don’t love! Today I’m a Wilderness First Responder, Leave No Trace Certified Photographer, and graduate of Maddie Mae of Adventure Instead’s Adventure Elopement Academy (so I’ve learned from the best). I lived in Vermont for 4 years so it holds a very special place in my heart from my times hiking Mt. Mansfield & Camel’s Hump, paddle boarding on Lake Champlain, and rock climbing at Petra Cliffs. Now it’s my mission to give couples like you an incredible elopement day in the state I love so much!
So if you are looking to have an incredible day with a custom timeline completely tailored to the activities you both love while getting those classic romantic photos then I would LOVE to be your Vermont elopement photographer. If you’d like to check my availability you can fill out my contact form here.

WHAT IS AN ADVENTURE ELOPEMENT?
Drumroll please! An adventure elopement can be WHATEVER YOU IMAGINE IT TO BE! Seriously they are that cool. If you’ve got a location already in mind- that’s great! If you come to me and all you know is that you want to elope but literally nothing else- I’m here to help!
I specialize in elopements of 20 guests max to really put the emphasis back on you marrying your best friend surrounded by a select VIP group of people (if you want to have guests). Most times I’m capturing getting ready in the morning, your first look, vow exchange + ceremony, and any activities or exploration you want to incorporate in your day.
WHAT IS AN ALL DAY ELOPEMENT?
I’m glad you asked! Traditional weddings by default always get full day coverage and an elopement should be no different- it’s your wedding day after all! With elopements you aren’t bound to a venue’s strict timeline so when I say the world is your oyster, I truly mean it.
I tell my couples to dream up their most perfect day from the second they wake up to the moment they lay their heads on the pillow at night. What types of scenes are you seeing? What are you drinking and eating? What are your favorite activities to do? With all day elopements I’ll capture your sweet getting ready moments, your first look, ceremony, and all the activities & exploration we can pack in.
I promise this is not an all day photoshoot whatsoever. Your wedding day will be intentionally crafted to incorporate your favorite landscapes and passions- plus we’ll be taking advantage of the most gorgeous light at sunrise or sunset!

HOW WELL DO YOU KNOW VERMONT?
I’m currently based in NYC as a destination wedding & elopement photographer but I travel every other week to New England. I lived in Vermont for 4 years (just outside of Burlington, VT) specifically and worked in the Wilderness Program for 3 years (so I’ve hiked, camped, rock climbed, skiied, and kayaked all over the state). During college I was also in the wedding world so I’ve worked at most of the top wedding venues in Vermont as well. I also interned as a photographer with Vermont State Parks so I’m also familiar with loads of those beautiful options!
BEST TIME OF YEAR TO ELOPE IN VERMONT
The quick answers:
- Best time for waterfalls: April
- Best time for foliage: First 2 weeks of October
- Best months in general: September & October. Cool temperates & less bugs on the trail
- Months to avoid if considering a mountain elopement in higher elevation: March-May since it’s mud season
- Best chance for a snowy elopement: January, February (the winner out of these three), and early March before the snowmelt and ice start to thaw
WINTER
Winter is a beautiful time to elope in the Green Mountains if you dream of getting married in a winter wonderland. The snowiest months are January, February, and early March (but February is the snowiest). Picture a wedding day featuring falling snow, frozen lakes & waterfalls, ice skating, skiing, snowcapped mountains and toasty warm beverages.
SPRING
Spring time in Vermont (March-May) is best for roaring waterfall elopements or ceremony sites that are accessible by a close parking lot. Since Vermont does have a mud season end of March to mid May we avoid most trails in the mountains since they are closed due to trail maintenance before the summer hiking season.
SUMMER
June, July, and August are the pinnacle summer months in Vermont. It will be a bit buggier than the fall but there are endless opportunities: hiking, biking, swimming in lakes and rivers, kayaking/sup rentals, visiting farmers’ markets, grabbing a cremee.
FALL
Vermont is famous for its vibrant fall foliage. Year after year thousands of people travel to Vermont to see the colors change and experience New England fall to the fullest. September and October are the two best months to elope in Vermont and notably always get booked up first. Picture a gorgeous fall day amongst exploding colors of red, orange, and yellow leaves when you look across a mountain valley. You celebrate with apple cider, freshly baked cider donuts, and even go apple picking at a local orchard.
Top tip: In years past the brightest fall foliage in the Green Mountain region occurs October 1st-October 12th (sometimes even the last week of September). This is the most popular two-three weeks out of the entire year for elopements so if you know you want a fall elopement with bright foliage reach out as soon as possible.
DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH LGBTQIA+ ELOPEMENTS?
You bet! I’m an inclusive wedding vendor. All are welcome.
WE DON’T WANT TO HIKE A TON DURING OUR VERMONT ELOPEMENT, IS THAT OK?
Of course! One of the many perks about Vermont is that there are so many gorgeous locations where you just pull up, park and walk across the street to stunning views. As for mountain elopements, most of the ceremony locations where my couples have said “I do” were 2 hours less of hiking to reach our desired destination.
HOW MANY GUESTS CAN I BRING TO MY VERMONT ELOPEMENT?
You are more than welcome to have a celebration with just the two of you or you can absolutely bring your VIP family and friends along. My intimate weddings and elopements are capped at 20 guests.
HOW DO I CHANGE INTO MY WEDDING ATTIRE OUTSIDE?
If you don’t want to hike in your wedding attire from the start then I bring along my handy dandy Wolfwise pop up tent for you to use whenever you’d like to change your outfits.
BEST PLACES TO STAY FOR YOUR VERMONT ELOPEMENT
HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL WE RECEIVE?
I believe in quality over quantity so you can expect on average a minimum of 50 images per hour.
HOW DO YOU DESCRIBE YOUR EDITING STYLE?
To give your images that timeless look, my editing style is vibrant & true to color. By not following a trend, your images will have that classic look with a mix of some black & white photos in your gallery.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR US TO RECEIVE OUR VERMONT ELOPEMENT IMAGES?
You’ll receive your images within 8-10 weeks max, but you’ll get some sneak peeks within 48 hours. I take time editing each individual photo with my vibrant/true to life editing style. I also include complimentary photoshop retouching of your images for magazine worthy photos! This includes things such as removing zits, flyaway hairs, apple watch tan lines, trash, and photobombers in the background of your photos.
DO YOU OFFER PRINTS OR HEIRLOOM ALBUMS?
Yes! The link to your online gallery connects to a professional printing lab so you can order prints, framed wall art, and canvases through me if you are looking to decorate your homes with memories of your wedding day. Heirloom albums provide the perfect keepsake to stand the test of time. My talented album designer Meg will take over with communication and guide you through the entire process from start to finish.
WHAT IF THERE IS BAD WEATHER ON MY VT ELOPEMENT DAY?
I don’t believe in bad weather only bad gear! Growing up in New England I have photographed in all weather conditions from snowy days in Vermont to rainy days. In my opinion rainy days can create some of the most romantic photos (I also bring along clear umbrellas for you too!). The couples I love working with are ready to have a dance party in the rain and embrace the weather no matter what!
ARE YOU A CERTIFIED OUTDOOR GUIDE?
I’m not a certified outdoor guide with the American Mountain Guide Association, but definitely an outdoor enthusiast. I am a certified Wilderness First Responder though and do have a current CPR certification. I grew up hiking with my family and was a part of an adventure sports program in college (that was a year long tryout). I used to help lead hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, ice climbing, and snowshoeing trips. Some of my favorite areas I’ve solo hiked include the Swiss Alps, the Dolomites in Italy, and Mt. Rainier & the Northern Cascades NP in Washington.
WHAT ARE THE NEXT STEPS IF WE ARE LOOKING TO ELOPE IN VERMONT?
- CHOOSE YOUR ELOPEMENT DATE (ARE YOU ENVISIONING WATERFALLS, SPRING & SUMMER BLOOMS, BRIGHT FALL FOLIAGE, OR A WINTER WONDERLAND?)
- DECIDE IF YOU WANT TO HAVE ANY GUESTS OR FURRY FRIENDS AT YOUR ELOPEMENT (I PHOTOGRAPH ELOPEMENTS CAPPED AT 20 GUESTS)
- BOOK YOUR VERMONT ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER AND ANY OTHER VENDORS YOU’D LIKE (ELOPEMENT PLANNER, OFFICIANT, HAIR & MAKEUP, FLORIST, WEDDING DESSERT, ETC)
HOW DO WE BOOK YOU AS OUR VERMONT ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER?
You’ll reach out in my contact form with your desired date, coverage time (4 hours, 8 hours, or multi day) and a general location to see if I’m available.
If I’m free your date then we’ll hop on a zoom call so I can learn more about the two of you and the elopement day you envision! After that, I’ll send you the proposal (contract & invoice) for you two to sign & pay and then you’ll be officially blocked off on my calendar!
DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?
Yes! Unless otherwise noted I do two payments (one with the signing of the contract and the last payment 2 weeks before your wedding day) but I can absolutely split your chosen collection into 3 or 4 payments if needed. I’m super flexible!

MY TOP TIPS ON ELOPING IN VERMONT
- Plan your vow exchange & ceremony around the best light at sunrise or sunset
- Want to avoid crowds (especially at popular locations)? Aim for sunrise, weekdays, and the off season
- There are incredible options in Vermont whether you want to be high in the mountains or stay on the ground. Choose a day that reflects what you like to do whether that’s keeping things slow and relaxing or hitting a bunch of iconic Vermont spots
- Best time for foliage would be end of September to around October 10th (these dates book up the fastest). Best time for waterfalls: April. Best months to avoid bugs while hiking: September-April
