If you’re considering a brand session here are the answers to the most common personal branding photography questions.

Who do you work with as a brand photographer?

I photograph NYC and Massachusetts female solopreneurs (or teams of 2) looking to create personality driven images to promote their small business.

Where are you based?

I am based in NYC. I do travel back to Massachusetts consistently and there are no additional travel fees.

Do you have a studio?

I do not own a studio so for my sessions in NYC they will take place outdoors, on location of your job/office/home, or in a photography studio. NYC’s Studio A La Carte studio rental is included in your session since I have a membership with them, but if you want a different studio an additional fee may apply.

For Cape Cod or Boston branding sessions, if you want your session in a studio there will be an added studio rental fee invoiced separately.

Where will my brand session take place?

I’ll give you some recommendations when you first inquire. It’s all about what makes sense for your business and your overall vision for the session. For example do you need more photos of you working at a desk in a studio or some lifestyle portraits at your favorite coffee shop. Whether you are looking for a studio or outdoor session in NYC or Massachusetts, I have loads of recommendations for each!

Is hair & makeup included in your brand photoshoot collections?

It’s not since each hair & makeup artist has their own rates. On average you’ll pay $300-$500 for hair & makeup together. I can’t recommend getting glam enough since it really elevates the look of your portraits. If you do decide to get hair & makeup done then you should allow 2 hours for glam before our session start time.

I know I need new brand visuals, but I don’t know where to start. Can you help me?

Absolutely! I’ll be looking through you social media and website to see where you might need updated imagery. You’ll also receive a branding session questionnaire from me which will go over all your business goals so I make sure I create the visuals to help propel those in motion.

What businesses do you tend to work with?

I work with a lot of service based women owned businesses. Some examples might be photographers, wedding/event planners, realtors, hair or makeup artists, florists, bakers, and nutritionist/dietician/health coaches.

Are you a product photographer?

Although I’ll do some detail shots during your session or flat lays of items relating to your business, I’m not a product photographer. So if you’re looking for someone to photograph a number of products to sell on your website I wouldn’t be your gal since I don’t have that lighting setup!

Will you help me with posing?

100%. I will guide you through the whole process so you never have to worry about where to put your hands. I’ll give you all the top tips so you look 10/10 and feel confident in front of the camera.

When can I book a branding session?

Unless you are booking just a quick 30 minute session to refresh your headshot, I’d allow a minimum of 4 weeks before your branding photoshoot. That way you have time to gather outfits and order any needed props.

What day can I schedule a branding session?

I will photograph person branding sessions any day of the week. If part of your session is outdoors in a high traffic area then for Friday-Sunday I recommend sunrise and Monday-Thursday can be either sunrise or sunset. Studio sessions can be booked any time of the day based on availability.

Do you have any wardrobe tips?

You can find my tips on what to wear to your branding session here! This varies per business owner since they might show up to clients in very different style than others. You can also send me your outfits ahead of time if you are going back and forth between a couple options.

Do you offer video during my brand photoshoot?

I do not offer professional video, but as an add on I can take BTS clips on my Iphone Pro 17 that you’ll get after your session. These are great for reels!

What is your editing style?

Vibrant true to life colors to give your images that timeless look.

How will I receive my images?

Your final edited images and bts clips can be easily downloaded through a password protected online gallery. You can download them for web use & high resolution.

When will I receive my images?

After your session, you’ll be sent lightly edited proofs. You select your favorite based on the number included in your session collection (or add more) and then once you do that the final selected images will be back to you within two weeks as well as your bts clips.

Can I add on more images than what’s included in my branding photography collection?

Absolutely! Additional images beyond the included amount: $20 each or $500 for full gallery

How should I use my branding photos?

You can use them on your website, social media, Pinterest, PDFs, marketing materials, LinkedIn, Podcast, and Youtube Channel. If you are looking for something different like an image to be used on a book, we can chat about commercial licenses.

Will you be promoting my business in any way?

I’m all for shouting out and supporting my clients. I’ll be posting your images on my new branding photography instagram account and as a blog post on my website. Not only will I be sharing about what you do and who you serve, but I’ll also be linking back to your website. Say hello to more potential customers!

How do I book you as my personal branding photographer?

The first step is to read over the collections here with all the info & pricing and then inquire via my contact form. After that, I can help guide you in which collection is best and I’ll give you any location recommendations if needed. For NYC brand sessions, I offer 30 minute, 2 hour, and 4 hour options where the Studio A La Carte rental is included. For Cape Cod or Boston brand sessions, I offer the 2 hour and 4 hour collections (but any studio rentals will be an added fee). We will chat about potential dates and check studio availability (if you would like your session to be in a studio) to make sure they align. Once you sign the contract & pay the retainer (payment plans available) then we will begin the fun planning part of your session!
